When waterproofing pools two options are possible: finishing coverage and facing coverage.
- Finishing coverage will repeat the geometry of the basin – if necessary preliminary raking of the surface should be made. To color the surface of the pool inorganic pigments must be introduced into the polymer coating.
- Facing waterproofing coverage is performed as follows: the surface is first impregnated with the composition HEP-Impregnator, and then HEP-Hydroprotect is applied in order to carry out the real facing: tiles must be laid simultaneously with the application of the composition HEP-Hydroprotect.
When performing waterproofing of pipe penetrations special attention should paid to “pipe – concrete” interface.
The probability of leaks is smaller when only small pressure is expected. In this scenario, the following operating scheme is recommended. 1 – impregnation by the composition HEP-Impregnator, 2 – metal pipe, 3 – HEP-Hydroprotect or HEP-Corrosion.
In the cases of large pressure expectancy, different order must be used: junction must be loosened and shaped as a rectangular groove 3×3, the surface must be processed with the combination HEP-Impregnator + HEP-Hydroprotect and riveted with dimensionally stable or expanding material.
When active leakages through the junction “pipe–concrete” are observed it is recommended to use HEP-Metal or HEP+reinforced withfiberglass fabrics.
