Waterproofing Basements
Necessary preparatory work before applying the compositions:
- Burnishing of the damaged (corroded) surface to healthy concrete;
- Removal of oil stains, paints, and cement film;
- Cleaning of naked reinforcement elements from corrosion layer.
It is desirable, although not compulsory, to impregnate the site with the composition HEP-Impregnator until full saturation in order to strengthen the concrete surface and to create the primary waterproofing layer.
An application of 1 or 2 layers of the basic compositions HEP-Cement Protect and HEP-Hydroprotect has to be layered on the processed surface.
After polymerisation, a dense, durable rubbery HEP-Hydroprotect or rigid HEP-Cement Protect film appears, which provides durable waterproofing and corrosion protection of the processed structure during its lifetime.
Properties of the film formed by the composition HEP-Cement Protect:
- A high abrasion resistance and
- Easily washed from any contamination, including drawings and inscriptions made by aerosol paints (anti-vandal properties).
